GM Wippo - Squares

Post by Yarosund » Fri Sep 09, 2005 6:19 am

Is something bust?

This game shows as overdue.
it is not paused.

Turn that I can access from game page is turn 10.

In my reports there is a turn 11, but this fails to open.
Also, if I ask for turn 11 map this is blank.

Does any one else have this problem?

Well I have the same thing but I have never looked at that reports page so I don't know if that is normal or not. I suspect the turn hasn't been run yet but I don't know.

I mailed Chris and he said our beloved GM Wippo can just press the magic 'run the turn' button and the turn will run. Isn't technology great! :D

Chris will have a look at why the game didn't run on it's one when he gets back Monday.

Overdue

Post by Yarosund » Tue Sep 13, 2005 7:58 am

Still showing as overdue to me.

Have we pushed the button yet???

Looking forward to getting my butt kicked.

2 v 4 - not sounding so promising now.

However, do like to be the underdog - but that could get confusinf too. (no offence UD).

I pressed the "run turn" button today ..... and the turn ran!

Next turn is due on saturday, I'll be back from Munich on Sunday and I will press the "run turn" button again if the dangnabbit WOK Online program doesn't do it for me.

Yes, hooray!

(Although I much preferred the way the map looked before that button was pressed.)

Well, it appears the "dangnabbit WOK Online program" didn't do it for you.

It seems you actually do have to do SOMETHING to run a "Standard WOK" game afterall.

Alright, from now on I will try to press the "Magic Button" whenever the deadline has passed.
I am going to Munich on Sep. 26th and I won't have internet access for at least one week so either be prepared to wait during that time or try to finish the game by then

Well i'm away on a belated honeymoon from 30 September till 8 October, so if you could put one deadline on 3 October and the next a week later on the 10th that would be perfect for me. :D

I am off to Munich now. Can't run the turn yet since the deadline is tomorrow. I will run the turn as soon as I have internet access (next weekend the earliest unless the "Deutsche Telekom" decides to give me early unpaid access).
Since Sal is going on his honeymoon until Oct 8th I will run the subsequent turn on October 9th.

Well, I am in Munich now and I managed to set up my internet connection. Hence I was able to press the Magic Button and thus the new turn is out.

Looking at the scores I think it might be time for a vote. Any player should feel free to email me (I know there is a Vote option within the game but I am not sure if it is working yet).
Otherwise I will run the next turn on October 9th as promised.

GM Wippo

PS:This also means that I am willing to GM another WOK V group should there ever be a need for another one (maybe after the Kaonauts group has filled up, i.e. in a few months or so).

I believe I fixed the voting yesterday, I'd be grateful if people could try it out.

In theory names should work now and if everyone agrees to the vote the game will end - although I doubt Kaohalla and Hiscore will update properly...

Since the turn was overdue I tried to run it manually and I got this message at the bottom of the page:
Running turn for: 9, turn nr:17

Warning: Illegal offset type in unset in /home/kaomaris/public_html/phpNuke/modules/Lobby/include/attack.php on line 156

Notice: Undefined variable: GameID in /home/kaomaris/public_html/phpNuke/modules/Lobby/include/attack.php on line 158
Could not fetch data.
Query: SELECT PlayerID FROM nuke_wok_game_players WHERE GameID= AND TurnNR=17 AND PlayerNR=8
Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'AND TurnNR=17 AND PlayerNR=8' at line 1

The turn didn't run (I tried it twice) so
KOREXUS DO SOMETHING!

Fixed. I think it's about time someone called for a vote in that game.

Bean and Saladin just voted to share the game between them thus:

Congratulations to Saladin and especially to Bean who (as far as I know) has just won his first ever VP!

Also, could the players let me know how they liked the map. Feel free to say it's crap, I just want to know whether I should consider the map for future games that I might run.

Thanks to everyone who played, (and Korexus for keeping the WOOKIE, ehm WOK Online, ehm I mean "Standard WOK" engine running (more or less)),

GM Wippo
