GM Wippo Group#03 Squares

Post by Xarfei » Fri Jun 03, 2005 9:39 pm

Since my Wok5 game isn't likely to start any time soon I have decided to opne a Wok4 game instead (although I will start my group#02 as soon as it is full).

The "Squares" is a fairly open map; any province can be reached from any other province within 7 attacks at most. Squares that touch each other diagonally are connected to each other.

I have made some changes to the number of armies/spies/tech points destroyed by missiles. I have set the values so that each missile always destroys the expected average number (i.e. 3, 3, 9 respectively) of items. This will make the outcome of missiling less random and hopefuly reduce the "luck" factor that some players have complained about.

Players should preferably try to join GM Stephens game first, but if that game already has two clanmates in it (or you specifically want to play in this game) then you can email me:

Or press the sign up button. It does work guys, honest. Prove that it works by everyone pressing the button 100 times and flooding Wippo's inbox!

I unlock the engine at about 2 this afternoon, by 10:30 we have 2 new games and neither of them are from Josh. I'm beginning to think that we have more keen GMs than keen players! :?

Xarfei it might be better to simply start with 8 players than to wait a couple more weeks to get 10. :)

Alright, I'm in. Sorry it took so long... I wanted to finish Stephen's #08 before starting a new game. But now that I'm here, the party can start. :)

I dont want to be a party pooper here but have you ran this missile sillyness by Al? He isnt usually happy about messing about with the manager. I would call this an X-game just to be on the safe side of things.

Xechortariaste is in, 2 more spots left.

Duke, I hereby declare that my game is an X-Game. I don't think I can change the classification of my game after I set it up. Korexus, if you read this feel free to change it manually.

Bo!

No need for a declaration.

I know that this has been an issue in the past and just dont want you to be like the Germans I meet while on vacation. The ones who think they can alter the world to fit them better. Or who makes silly TV commercials about IKEA. The nerve of you people

Btw, only one American signed up and the rest being European. (Yes I see you Aussie but I count you in our team anyway :) )

What up yankees? All on vacation?

Well, us Europeans have been more active since beginning of times. Europe is as you probably know that place where the history comes from. (Yes, nicked that one from Izzard)

I would sign up, but I am going to retire for a while. When I get back I expect Hannibal to have this place jumping.

Underdog is in it to win it now as well so I have started the game!

Good luck everyone!

GM Wippo

PS: Just a quick reminder: Provinces that touch other provinces just with their very corner are neighbours (i.e. the central provinces have 8 neighbours each).
