Beginner Game

Post by Donut » Sat May 14, 2005 2:54 am

I'm flirting with the idea of opening a beginner game. I would define beginner as no VP's. Would there be 10 players able to join?

I think we have 2 from BoV. I'm sure BoT could put a couple up. Any other n00bs that would be able to join?

You got ripped by Al? WOW! That must be Al's first rip in 16 months! :P

@Protput: sorry there mate, nothing personal. I started in the middle of the pud and had to pick someone. I fight hard for my survival and Im usually best when getting desperate:D

@Saladin: first RIP in 16 months ? Not hard considering its my first game in 16 months *LOL* (exaggerated for emphasis) :)

You will get to see me more around with WOKON now. And thx to Egbert for giving my new clanmate Odessa such a "warm" introduction too. "N00b rippin'" seems to be the trend these days. :)

Well if you're aware of my proposal for the Funta-fied game (4 rounds of peace and everybody gets five neutrals so the new players in this game can learn a bit without getting ripped at the start) then you know we mean new players no harm. It's just that the other 'veterans' decided that they didn't like the plan and would rather pick on the new players.

Well that left Eg and me with little room for expansion, so then the only logical way is to fight for what's left...sadly.

I would rather learn the game the hard way, getting attacked early in the game is something you have to be able to deal with...

Well that's true Protput. Nothing is more fun than getting double teamed from the start and due to good play defeat both of those players.

I think i'll go and write up a little something for the Scholar's library. The Art of Survival sounds like a good title. :D

Just me...and the good old avatar :sexy:. Ever since Raw left, i finally got her to spend some time with me again.

There seems something very appealing about Raw in a T back, but i can't see it...it looks somewhat like this -> :shakin::. Ah who can understand women.

Hi @all,

i would join the beginners game even if it would be more embarrassing to lose against new players than against veterans :?

And I wanted to thank all the players who didnt vote for the proposal of Saladin with the reason Newbies learn more in a "real" game. Because now i can learn sooooo much in the two rounds I will be in the game

But there will be other games where I will just join to annoy some people :D

greets Odi

You can cry all you want. Ask Protput if he feels the same way.

Not everyone can come out on top. I bet Xech. is learing more being double teamed and fighting for his life then he would by just sitting around watching the lint in his bellybutton.

Just avoid being such a good target. 8)

i am not cryin...

its just boring to wait 5 days until the game starts, write 20+ mails for NAPs and everything just to die in the second round.

hopefully its more interesting for me in the next game...
Just avoid being such a good target. Cool

Hey, trust me. I've been there.

Do one of these three things:

* Pray for more luck next time
* Whoever you hooked up with this time, dont next time.
* Send a picture with lots of skin to the GM. That always helps me.
