GM Josh - The Wanderer

Post by Donut » Sun Oct 17, 2004 10:26 pm

My next game will be an X-Game. There are 5 islands surrounding a center island. Each of the smaller islands will start with 2 teammates. From the small islands there is one outlet into the main island. I will tell every body which province on each island they can try from, but I will not divulge where it goes to. So it will take some trial and error to find their outlet.

I'd like to run turns twice a week, but will adhere to the players schedule. E-mail me to sign up.

Initial turns are out. Good Luck to everyone. If there are any questions don't hesitate to ask. I like getting e-mails. Also... I had to manually move a couple of people around so if you see anything that is a miss, let me know as soon as possible.

Works fine for me. Try going direct to this link:
http://people.msoe.edu/~jorgensj/group8.html

If that doesn't work either, PM me and I'll put up a copy of the page while yelling at Josh to sort it out

Donut, I'm confused. :?

I thought part of the fun of the game was that the players had to figure out which provinces led to the middle island, since you say that the outlets "are known only to" you. But you posted the outlets on the main page!

Egbert, the thing is we know where we can leave but not where we arrive. So we have to start randomly picking territories to attack from the outlet until we come up with the right place. 8)

I did it for 2 reasons.

1. It would take players ages to figure out which province to leave from and which province to go to, especially with only 3 attacks.

The other I'll wait a bit to comment on. I'm not giving anything away.

Java? Really? I had no idea. How did you fix it? Just for future reference.

I had a similar problem at first. It gave me some type of JAVA error. I just reopened the map and it worked fine! Also, donut, you will be happy to see I got my user name changed

I was yelling at Rey Bucho... it's really fun. Everyone should give it a go. Dark Monk has asked for a delay because for some reason I can't get a TR to him. PM on the way.

What? I'm remarkably confused now. I never sent you Al's Report... I just had to double-check... like 4 times...

After some serious thought using my superior brain... I think that I figured out why it didn't work. And just for the record, Chris is full of dookie.

Forgot to press send? Type the wrong email address. That normally does the trick...

Want me to post Al's TR here? (Ok, I admit I made up the one I sent Al. It was pretty close though, only 1 pop out...)
