Sorry, that should read thurday 26th. (Midnight this coming Thursday.) I'll update the page accordingly...
...now...
I've updated the kaobase clock too. Sure I did that before, but it hadn't changed. Oh well, it's done now. Sorry about that.
GM Chris.
PS, glad you like the comments, Donut

While I was wandering around the other day a though hit me, but don't worry, I hit it back. (10 points to anyone who can name the film )
Back to the thought...
Would people like their TRs to be accessible through the game page? - I might be stepping on Mullog's kaobase V2 toes here but it occurred to me it would be a reasonably easy feature for me to add and I don't think it would be insecure.
The way it would work is that there would be a button underneath the map saying something like "Show Turn Report". If clicked it would ask for a name and password. If a player had emailed *me* with a name and password then entering that would bring up the turn report for the most recent turn. It would be reasonaly secure, simply because if someone did want to try and read another player's orders there would be no guarentee that they were online in the first place and the "name" field wouldn't have to be the player name (once there's no standard account name, these things become a lot harder to get into)
Of course, players can just open up their email client but I thought it might be a nice gadget. Then again, I haven't had much sleep recently...
What do you think?

I would love that if my players agreed to it being the ONLY way they get their TRs but I'm not too sure they would.
But also, did I understand well that accessing someone else's TR IS possible if one knows that the person is currently online (viewing the TR to be exact, right?) and what their account name is?
If answer=1 then further_question='How come?'
Isn't the password needed anytime someone requests to view the TR? (by clicking on the link)

Busted! Yes, that was the end aim. The longest part of running a turn is now emailing the players. It's also the least fun so I started thinking of ways round it.trewqh wrote:I would love that if my players agreed to it being the ONLY way they get their TRs but I'm not too sure they would.
When I said online, I meant the TR, not the player, my mistake. The player wouldn't need to online or viewing the TR for someone else to attempt to view it. If I set it up that way, *I* would have to be online too (or set up a clever little gizmo to do it for me, maybe that could be my next project except that it would still leave the same problem which is...trewqh wrote: But also, did I understand well that accessing someone else's TR IS possible if one knows that the person is currently online (viewing the TR to be exact, right?) and what their account name is?
Yes the password is needed and, if someone knows another player's name and password they could therefore read that players turn report. The only reason I mentioned it is that the login wouldn't be as secure as (most) email clients so there is a chance of a determined player reading the turns. Not a very big chance, but I had to mention it to cover myselftrewqh wrote:Isn't the password needed anytime someone requests to view the TR? (by clicking on the link)

This is a warning for players joining any of GM Chris's future games.
He "sometimes" uses "funny" subject titles for his turn report emails.
Examples:
Turn 1: "German bastards"
(That REALLY hurts )
Turn 2: "Lucky, lucky bastard"
(He had a point, I was)
Turn 4:"Muppet"
(???)
Turn 10: "Penis Enlargement"
(My favourite, the actual email said:
You too can have a large dick. No matter who you are or where you are from.
Yes, even Germans now have no need to be ashamed of their nob!

Turn 11:"Let's go on holiday to Mallorca!!"
(Yeah, that sounds like a good idea considering that Chris appears to like Germans a lot)

For players that don't know. I should point out that Xarfei is at Trinity with TK, Morph and myself so this isn't completly random abuse.* All other players got relatively normal email subjects. However, any player who wishes to be slagged off in their turn reports and/or the turn summary need only to mention it in the 'notes' section of their AOFs. I'll be happy to oblige!
GM Chris.
*It's targeted abuse instead. Which is much more fun!!!
