Creating a new WOK4 map

Post by Aussie Gaz » Tue May 13, 2003 6:49 am

I am creating a new WOK4 map and would appreciate any advice.

I have the bitmap etc already worked out.

What I really want to know is:

What is a reasonable starting population (or range of populations) if all provinces are basically equal?

I looked at a few other WOK 4 maps and based my POP on them. Its your choice, but I used a range of about 60-120

IN my maps I made a long ago, I did the same as Taker - ie based it on the POP spread for maps I had played on and that worked well. My maps have a range 40-150, with about 7-9 provinces above 100, and I 've seen a few maps with very high POP and some with a lot of low POP provinces and they seem to work fine as well. It probably doesn't matter, but the way POP is spread around has some influence on how the game is played and which parts of the map become more important in the game.
