... it doesnt matter from which party or in which government. All they do is lie and steal our money.

We just had elections in Austria. The ex-vicechancellor lost her job to a new guy, and guess what - in case she doesnt find a new job she legally gets $17.000 'social help' every month for a year.... geez, now I bet she will really try VERY HARD to find one, no ??

Rumsfeld playing the tough guy against Saddam ? Check this link:

http://www.cnn.com/2002/US/09/30/sproje ... me.change/

and see how both men shook hands not so long ago.

(Long time no political thread, so I thought someone had to start one :P )

"Politicians are all LIARS"?

You might me stretching the truth here. I like another saying I heard a long time ago:

90% of politicians give the other 10% a bad name.

Last week at one of the Arab summit meetings that was broadcast live, the Iraqi ambassador called the Kuwaitis "traitors to the Arab world" for inviting the United States into their territory. Humph! The Kuwaitis were enraged, I was incredulous. Of all of the things for the Iraqi ambassador to say, I never thought I would hear such hypocisy, considering that the Iraqis were not invited into Kuwait, but they came in anyway, burned, pillaged, and looted, blew up the oil wells, and then left in a big hurry.
Ummmm actually the Iraqis have a point...

The original Gulf War was started by Kuwait slant drilling into Iraqs oil fields. Iraq asked for US permission to invade the offending area and got it... It was only after they decided to invade the WHOLE country that the US got upset. The US State dept. admitted this about a year or so ago...

The Saudis are actually responsible for nuturing one of the most radical forms of Islam (Wahhabism) and now they are worried that the fanatics they have sponsored will turn on them...

It's no coincidence that the 9/11 Hijackers were Saudis not Iraqis...

Condition A/Condition B
Politics are the control of wealth and power.
We are being conditoned to condemn politics as both petty and boring,
thus allowing those with power to stay in power.
Either you're part of the problem or part of the solution.
Which side are you on?

PS Covenant, always! :smokingdevil:
