Post by Coolant » Fri Dec 13, 2002 5:40 pm

My Group 11 has ended with 1.5 VPs for Calidus and the CoN and 1.5 VPs for Saladin and the Scholars. Congrats.

Tyler, I've already sent an email to you about this.

As for the rest of the info, my website is still active:

Actually the Brotherhoods score in Kaohalla is still not correct. We should have 37,5 points if I can get the last 1,5 VP's added to the clan home page accounted for. In any case the score should be at least 36.

My Group 1 is finally over.

Congrats to Brykovian and the Scholars as Brykovian has captured 2 VP's with a solo win.

Thank You to all that were in this game, as you made it an easy one to GM.

Thanks,

OK, I have to start somewhere.

I have made copies of the latest pages for Hi Score, Kohalla, Clan scores and Clan Kohalla. This information looks old, so I need the GM's to chime in and let me know what data needs to be added.

I assume that there is nothing for 2003 Hi Score. I will start a new table with the games listed on this tread. They are, in order....
Ben08, Dom01, Wayne11, Paul01, Fredrick08 and Ryan01. If there are other games that need to be added to this, please post them here.

Clan scores started on September 1st and will end February 1st. However, I don't know when the Clan score page was last updated. I am guessing it has the information up through DOM 01. I will add the Clan VP's from the last 4 games shown above unless someone can give me more recent information.

I will use the same criteria to update Kohalla and Clan Kohalla. Does anyone out there have later (creditable) information?

Hmmm... Since kaomaris.com has a rather hefty space allowance maybe this should be 'brought home' so to speak...

Given a month I believe I could do all the highscore type stuff as tables within the kaobase db...

Failing that via Spaceports (they allow MySQL databases) who only require a banner add on top of the page (No pop-ups!) for script based pages...

A searchable Kaohalla is an interesting idea, yes?

Whatever you say CH :P

You mean integrating a Score/Clanscore/Kaohalla into the KaoBase scripts ? (Good luck, and welcome to "serious scripting")

Id gladly welcome that, and it would allow GMs to use the KaoBase for VP purposes.

n the meantime, the solution's name is BJORN :P

Errrr not attached to Kaobase as such... I'm thinking of piggybacking some tables into the KB database to use seperately (since we have the 2 DB limit & the forum uses the other)...

Given the limited volume there should be no server usage issues & a query driven HighScore/Clan Standings etc page would be nice...

No I cannot do this off the top of my head as it were, but with some research I can make it work. Hence the 'give me a month' statement...

Hmmmm OK anyone out there with some DB experience want to start suggesting tables/queries that would be required? The main problem I see is dealing with players changing Clans. I'm thinking that each Player ID should have 3 Clan & associated VPs fields (plus an overall VP field) but is that enough? Has anyone changed allegiance more than that? Multiple instances as a Merc would effectively count as 1 but how many Clans have people been through...

ask Calidus.
I believe at one point he had the record for changing clans the most.
Although I guess maybe Ecrivian?(Sir Seth) I can't seem to remember if it was him or someone else who was Sir Seth. Maybe even Lord Kragg might be close. I guess Lord Kragg is gone again though. Just my guesses as to the most traveled players.
There's no need to fear...........

Ar-Sereg, The Brotherhood of Vayuna, The Red Branch Knights, Merc, and CoN. 5 for me. I think Dyana had about as many changes as well. Also, isn't Queen Pea getting close to that many Clans?
