My score is correct. Will you be able to sort it by VPs?

The last check I took is shown here http://www.kaomaris.com/phpNuke/modules ... 5412#25412 that was accurate and may help people work out what they should be on. Eventually I'd like VPs in hatever form to be tracked automatically, but I think we need a decent length of breaking in period where a human and the computer do the same job, to check that the computer is doing it right...

I thought this game was paused and unresolved.

But apart from that the 8 VPs are correct.

Trewqh - check out Dragonettes scoring thread
Dragonette wrote:KOREXUS was running a forest lake game. It had being put on hold but it is suspected it was a joint win between TREWQH and VALIDON but validon had tto go away and could not vote, iyt has being paused ever since.
here are the scores, but sadly due to 5 quits the scores are halved:

in joint 10th/9th/8th is KRINGLE, SALADIN and EAGLE EYES getting 0.5 points each.

in 7th HRYLLANTE gets 1.5 points

in 6th KIKKERTIE gets 2.5 points

in 5th LARDMASTER gets 5 points

in 4th/3rd DONUT and YAROSUND gets 12.5 points each

in 2nd/1st TREWQH and VALIDON gets 75 points each

Nemesis - I will eventually sort it by ACTIVE members and then by total score.

The final table will just show Name, Active (Y or N), Current Year Standard Wok VPs, Current Year Advanced Wok VPs & Total VP's.

Current year will track Jan 1 thru to Dec 31.

The aim is to get it automated properley but my current table is so that we can set a baseline to work from.

Newbies (& Oldies with no VPs) won't appear until they get a win.

So, let me get this right: Trewqh is objecting to (querying) a result that AG has included that AWARDS Trewqh a win, and AG is saying nope, you're wrong, trewqh, you DO get that VP. Is that about right?

Dragonnette - This table is completely seperate from your scoring system and is for keeping scores the "Old Way".

I have added VPs' for all of the 2007 standard wok games that you currently have recorded on your thread.

Eventually when Ewok goes live this will keep track of Advanced Wok victories as well.

Lardmaster - The Kaohalla vps & current year vps available on the Kaomaris website are wrong.

For example it shows you with 1 Standard vp from this current year when you have won twice (Back to the Roots & South America).

It shows Raw as having 4 vps this current year but the 4 points he won were in 2005.

It shows myself with 3 current year vps but I have only won twice this year.

2006 was a very lean year for games with only 22vps total.

Checkout Korexus thread (link above somewhere) to see how the vps in my table were arrived at.

What Gaz said.

Basically, I knocked up a script that was supposed to track VPs and the then gatekeeper (Donut, I believe) stopped tracking them.

Unfortunately, this meant that no one was keeping thrack of what the scores shoud have been and we didn't notice that it had gone wrong.

If Gaz can work out what the current values should be, and track them for a while then we can try to get the automated process working properly.

Let's get a shared sense of perspective here?

1) The "Old Way" is not INSTEAD of the new way, they are not in competition. They both run in parallel. They can use each other's data (why not?), but don't have to confer or agree together first. We might run with both forever, no problem, more people happy if they do well in the one versus the other. Or one might fail by neglect (as the "old Way" did), and at least we have the other. Two is good.

2) AG is kindly sorting out a mess that the "Old Way" was left in. He updates what he can find, and puts it out for correction. No problem if his first go was not 100% correct. We are using that to check, and give him new info, not complaining, right?

Good. IMHO.

That was a small departure from the rule that says a game with 5 QUITS cannot have two winners...

yes but it would of being running forever, so i thoughtg it was in best interests to do that.

The new score system is going on till the end of this year, then if people like it it will carry on, if not then it will be stopped.
