Just a quick poll to see who would be willing to play in a wok V game.

So far there is me......

WOK 5 is fun and challenging, but man does it take a lot of time to do your orders (at least if you really want to do all the calculations). Of course other players who also tend to be succesful just wing it, which also seems to work.

That's the beauty of standard wok (wok 4). Doing your orders only take a few minutes, though trying to guess what the other players will do can take hours. :D

I'll play if the turnover isn't too high. I could d with a refresher for coding the automated version...

I wouldn't mind GM-ing the game.

So we've got LM, SF and Korexus so far. Now i would think this would be the perfect game for you Han!

I can't find any rules or helpful guides for WoK V, if anyone would put up a link or two for me I'll give it a go to make up numbers.

Although I wouldn't play just to make up the numbers

Now if only you had joined The Scholars then you would have access to the great WOK 5 manual which i think Egbert wrote. :)

However, i'll have a look to see if i can find the official manual. Though it might be out dated as the wok 5 engine has been modified a couple of times.

I'll post it here, though it would be good to give it a place on the site again.

http://www.kaomaris.com/wok5man.htm

Also available through Site Content -> Advanced WoK Rules. I removed the link from the menu as no one was playing. I can add it again easily enough though (it's just hidden, not deleted...)

The manual should be up to date, just a warning though, it's written in 'Al' :P

I will play if you give me some notice before the start of the game. Like Sal said... orders do take some extra time.

Well maybe we can get a couple more old timers to join wok again.

Players like Lord Fredo, Duke, Xarfei, Aussie Gaz, Allister Fiend, Goat Herder, Dameon, etc. would be great to get back to wok and would probably be interested in join a wok 5 game then.

Korexus you already sent out a 'come back to wok' mail to some people. Were the above players on that list? If not i'd be willing to try and get them back to wok.

I'll first open a wok 5 game and create a game page. Maybe i can think of a nice x-game setup. Maybe somebody already has a great idea?

So everyone is playing on an even field could someone please post the list of Tribes and their abilities please.

Korexus also did up a wokulator which should be available somewhere on the site but I can forward to anyone that wants it. (can't find an option to attach it here).

Send me an email at gm_gaz@kaomaris.com. :D

ps Nick If you read this then drop me a line. The Valn Othar site is down (& has been for a while I think)

I didn't get a Come on Back letter :x

I've dropped Fredo a line on MSN every time I see him. I never get a response and haven't seen him on the site either :(

PS: I'm trying to get Funty back. He's being a pain though.

Well, I sure as hell didn't get an invite back either!!!

I might be persuaded to play if the turns were once a week. I would have to go and read all the rules again, so you lads might actually be able to beat me.....oh crap, now I sound like Dameon.........

Welcome back Calidus!

The turns will be ones a week, so everybody can ease themselves back in to the game.

With Calidus back we should have Egbert playing as well to make the game really monumental. :)

Sounds Good
