Do you feel welcome into the community Protput?

Btw, I've tried to figure out what the heck Het Eiland is. Eiland is Island in dutch, I got that far. Couldnt translate Het but I think Protput is some sort of person in a TV show named Het Eiland. All the webpages were dutch so it wasnt easy :?

you're right, my avatar is the 'protput'. It comes from the first episode, where he comes in on his first day of work and has to meet his boss which name is 'protut'. But he misread it and calls her protput(which in dutch means something like fartbutt. And that's how it starts. :P

Babelfish gives "The Island". I know it's far from perfect, but surely it couldn't get something that simple wrong... :?

I find it fascinating that every other clan name starts with a "The" outside of VO. Where's the imagination, I ask? :P

That's because I was getting irritated by seeing "welcome korexus of Scholars" every time I went to the lobby and the easiest way to stop it was to bung a 'the' in front of every clan who deserved it.
If you guys still had a proper clan name, you could have been greeted as "Dameon en ar Sereg."* But I have no idea what Valn Ohtar means.**

*'Dameon of the Blood', I think. Although my Sindarin is a little rusty...

lol... I didn't have a problem with you Minnesotanites... didn't... Now it's War. I pretty sure you'll agree though that Wisconsin is FAR worse than Iowa. I mean come on; who calls it a bubbler? Honestly!

I don't have any problems with those folks from Minnesota either. Please try to remember that I was born and raised in the land of the bubbler! ;)

Since I've seen both, I can honestly and completely disagree with you on that! I think Iowa's northeastern corner saves it from being named the 3rd Dakota! :D ("Southeasternish Dakota, perhaps?")

And remember ... very soon, there will be an open hunting season on cats in Wisconsin ... so don't leave kitty outside! ;)

Ar-Sereg does loosely translate to "noble blood" in Sindarin. Valn Ohtar doesn't really translate to anything though, I just liked the way it sounded. :P

Oh man... not another Badger...

Northeastern corner!!! Those guys are jerks (good thing my roomate don't visit these boards). Western Iowa is where it's at. Full of Popcorn, Ice Cream, and Honey.

Good Cheese comes from Happy Cows.
Happy cows come from California. :P

Minnesota? Isn't that in Canada?

Oh -- there are people living there? I was just commenting on the landscape.

Hard to argue with that!

You're very easily amused... You must also like all those littles humps in the road in S. Minn.

Minny-soda: Land of 10,000 lakes. Must be a lot like Water World, how lame. How does it feel to be the Hat in the gnome/elf? Iowa's got the Brains

Haha, never heard either of those until I got to Wisconsin. I think I saw a sign once in Minnesota that said "Friends don't let friend drive to Wisconsin".

HAHA... good stuff.

If you live in WI, you most likely run to MN to jump into one of those 10,000 lakes, especially when you look like Donut:

So ... do you understand them a bit better now? Throw in a handful of actual wars scattered over the past couple thousand years, and you have even more border-battle fodder on the other side of the Atlantic.
