o catch

Post by Validon » Thu Nov 11, 2004 1:15 pm

Is anyone else having trouble uploading maps on 0 Catch? It's not letting me upload any of my maps lately and I'm not sure why. If anyone else had this problem and was able to resolve it please let me know.

To be honest 0catch is pretty CRAP anyway. Before i had a popup stopper it was pure hell as it even wanted to install software (dialers) on my computer.

There must be better free webspace without banners and nasty popups available somewhere, right?

You'll never find a site without banners or pop-ups. They're all probably going to have one or the other. I'd say now-a-days with almost everyone having a pop-up blocker, finding one with a single pop-up would be the best choice. 0-catch annoys me with that little pop-in ad now and I remember Google Bar used to go crazy on those sites.

I used 0catch for a while when Angelfire was having some issues with me, but I eventually switched back to Angelfire when 0catch decided to delete all of my pages after I was inactive for about a month. That was annoying, to say the least....I do remember having problems with uploading things to the 0catch servers fairly often, as well. Angelfire had been reliable overall for me and I think is an excellent choice for a free server. You can control whether to allow pop-ups or inline advertisement with it, a big plus in my book, and they will keep your files on their servers even if you do go inactive for a period of time.

I'll name my first born after you if you find one that is reliable and works, and has a decent storage space. I'm not sure what everyone else gets with their free webservers but I get 20 MB. :P

To make it easier for you, you can also use my middle name Frederik. :D

Use the html file manager to upload the files rather than do it from the game page.
