WOK 2004 - You Decide

You Decide the next game that I'll open. I already have ideas for X-Games that a few know about. You have a few days to vote and then the waitlist will be open for a while. If possible I'd like for the CC's to end before I start this group but if it goes for eternity I'll run this game.

Also... if a WOK IV game is chosen I will e-mail some of the latest signups to the page and invite them. Preference will be given to newer players.

Come on! I want to play in a WoK V X-Game as well as run one! Some of the ideas you were talking about were pretty fun so if you've got it all sorted get on and run the game!

My next game will be a WOK 5 X-Game, regardless of what Donut opens here. I cannot imagine that Verizon is going to take too much longer to ship me my DSL modem. I am getting VERY frustrated with them right now, it's been over two weeks since I ordered it and they just haven't gotten the job done. Grr.

That's why I don't want to just open up a WOK V X-game as there are for sure 2 more coming next. Meaning the next WOK IV game could open who knows when. Just making sure everyone has a chance to play.

I voted normal WOK4 game ... but I'm the only one so far. About to come off my break shortly (we've moved into our new house and are starting to get settled) -- and thought a WOK4 game would be simple enough to break-in the rusty joints.

WOOOOOOOOO... Bryk is back!!!

My WOK IV X-Game is very simple. Theres only one minor difference that will probably just succeed in extending the game.

I'll add the votes for each game WOK IV/V, and then decide on X-Game/Normal from the winner. Or... I may just veto it and run a WOK IV game

I personally would be flexible with this as well, but I already have the map and the rules set in place for the WOK V X-Game. I just haven't been able to get 'net access that connects to my own computer, meaning I can't run the game just yet. I honestly have no idea how long it will be until Verizon finally gets it's head out of it's @ss.....hopefully soon, though!

Try and get cell phone coverage from your apartment in Downtown Milwaukee. But hey... I'll give them credit... I can get a signal in every elevator I've ever been in... I'll just have to go into one the next time I need to call someone...

I have taped up a square in my office in which I know I get a good connection. When it calls I hustle into the square.

It will all change soon since I am building an office in my attic. Pictures to follow!!!

I would have to imagine that your wife knows all of the 911 operators by first name since you started "Remodeling" your home.

911 Operator: "911... What's your emergency?"
Mrs. Dook: "Morning Helen, it's me again."
911 Operator: "Oh good lord, what's he done this time?"
Mrs. Dook: "He stuck his finger in a socket again."
911 Operator: "Passed out on the floor again?"
Mrs. Dook: "Yep. You mind sendin someone over? I think he's really done it this time. He's shakin pretty good."
911 Operator: "No problem... How are your kids?"
...

:P

lol

I am about to do the wireing. Green/yellow is the earth, right? I know TK made this clear when did the kitchen but I tend to forget.

Is 10cm isolation enough to keep the warmth? I do hope so since that is what I have put in.

I cant wait to get a house so I can mess about like Duke does...

Green and yellow is earth. Full marks.

10cm seems a bit low if anything. I am not sure about that though...

10 cm = about 4 in. right? That seems pretty sufficient... assuming you don't live in the arctic circle?

actually I have to assume Duke meant iNsulation not isolation because if he meant isolation I wish he would get more isolated than he already is.

As for insulation THAT would depend on what you are using for insulation. Some materials are better than others. And of course as close as he is TO the Arctic circle maybe he should make it about 4 Feet, approx. 150-160cm if my math still works.

Unless of course he has devised a way to create a perfect vacuum in that space, then 10 cm should be sufficient.

that should give you a rough equivilant of an R factor of about R19. (I am not sure if those outside the US use that same scale or not, but the higher the number, the better the insulation) Most building codes in the US require at the minimum an insulation rating of I think around an R12. (7.6cm) (could be wrong, wouldn't be the first time, wont be the last) Currently, I have my house with about an R45 insulation factor. It has been in the upper 30s to low 40s at night and I havent even had to run the heat yet. I think it has stayed about 65-70 here inside. ITs awesome. Bring on the low gas bill. :D
