KaoBase is back up and running !

Post by gm_al » Mon Nov 17, 2003 1:23 pm

:P

There was an error that occured when the MBSHost guys installed a few upgrades on the server. We got it quickly sorted out and so I am happy to report the KaoBase is up and running again !!

Beware.... KaoBase V2 is now moving from design to implementation, post here if you want to be a beta-tester.

PS: This is a heavy WARNING to everyone regarding worms and viruses. I had FIVE new reports of worms over the last few days and had to move around to fix a lot of infected PCs. It seems that many new worms are able to penetrate (uhhhhh....) your PC through a previously installed backdoor (more uhhhh uhhhhh....). Again, everyone please check www.trendmicro.com and do a free online scan of your drives and network ! This has been found to be the best way to get rid of the worms quickly. Also, if you run Windows, make 100% sure to have all the latest patches installed (Trendmicro will tell you what you need to do and give you the links too) !!

I come home from vacation, expecting a horde of screaming WOK'ers waiting for the KaoBase to get online and then i find this!
Everything is fine and we have two testers already! Great!

Now I can go to bed and catch up tomorrow instead... :)

Speaking of Sleep and WOK, anybody ever have dreams about WOK. I had one this weekend (While sleeping for 12 hours). I'm kinda scared now... :hypernervous:

I had one on the first night of a canoe trip with my old college buddies ... I was dreaming that I was actually at camp out on the WOK battlefield, waiting on another to return from a scouting mission.

I came to as I was shaking one of the real-life guys who had been sleeping nearby, and I was emphatically asking him over and over, "Are you okay, Gunner?!"

Of course, he was a bit freaked  -- so he gave me a good shove and asked, "Who the f--- is Gunner?!"

I thought that situation was probably best not explained with something other than "Crap -- sleep walking again ... sorry, man." :?
