Should we restart?
Our first test game has now been running for a few days, and I think we have removed most of the obvious bugs. In addition we have changed alot of parameter, making the game different from what it was on sunday.
So I want to restart the game soon. Reset all species and everything. Are we ready for that or should we continiue testing?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I even got up early to check if my poor spiders still had enough food...i was right on time to because they were down to 50 sat.
So 100% no on a restart, i see no merit at all in a restart other than having wasted several days...i doubt i'd even join in if there would be a restart.

My vote for restart. As developer, I know it is necessary. No point in keeping it running, if it doesn't reflects the state of the game correctly. Current state is affected by things that are not suppose to happen during the normal work.
Besides, since everyone has now more info about game, one can try another scenario immediately, without waiting for this game to end.

YAY! Good suggestion TK!Gone wrote:Perhaps we could run a new game, AND keep the current one going?
Otherwise could you just run this jungle with only my spiders in them and no pesky scorpions to eat all my food. I'll be quite content to rule this jungle on my own micromanaging my species evolution.

I agree with Sal, If you want to test the mid and end game then we need to get there and it appears at the rate we are going it will take awhile to get that far so a faster game will get us there.gm_al wrote:Gotta love it how tied people get to their species.... get over it, we need a restart with more realistic values in order to allow us test the mid- and end-game.
THEN maybe we can slow it back down to 15 minutes after a few days or whatever it takes to get to the midgame.
There's no need to fear...........

Whatever helps your testing - that's what we volunteered for. But I'll miss my hopping starving sterile herbivorous wildcats, who, if only they had whiskers yet, were just a whisker away from ruling the jungle......
