i searched on google and found wikipedia telling me this...

In Canada,[4] the United Kingdom,[5] Ireland,[6] and Australia,[7] pancakes are traditionally eaten on Shrove Tuesday, which is also known as "Pancake Day" and, particularly in Ireland, as "Pancake Tuesday". (Shrove Tuesday is better known in the United States, France and other countries as Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday.) Historically, pancakes were made on Shrove Tuesday so that the last of the fatty and rich foods could be used up before Lent.

It is traditional to turn pancakes over by tossing them in the air using the pan and without using any other implements

I like pancakes. Partly because I make them myself and flipping them makes me feel all manly. :P

I don't just make them on Pancake day though, I make them whenever I feel in the mood.

Tried pancakes made by different people and I can't stand them.

If you want pancakes Dragonette you will either have to make them yourself or ask your dad.

Ghastly although just about palatable if you add pesto to the mix. One for you to try Chris :D

I absolutely love pancakes, especially when I make them. I tend not to make them myself on Pancake Day though, as I have pancakes as often as I can, and I just find I cant be bothered then.
Although, I'm not that good at making them, but that is probably the funnest part - especially the flipping...
