Home movie making

Post by Duke » Sat Dec 29, 2007 2:54 pm

Ok, I've imported my videcamtape into my computer into a DV-AVI format. A 60 min tape makes an .avi of about 12 Gb.

No matter what program I use I simply cannot use it in windows movie maker or Sonic MyDVD. Is it too large?

Almost certainly.

Use a programme like mplayer to convert the file (it can 'convert' from avi to avi if you want) and reduce the file size down at the same time.

Be warned that it will probably take a few hours to convert something that big...
