He say "See Hryll, don't be such a pessimist!"

And then there were 5.

So, should we finalise details on this? I don't know London all that well, so maybe one of the locals can suggest a good pub? Somewhere fairly central would be best for me. Near Victoria would be ideal.

So there will be four of us? Korexus, Hannibal, Lardmaster and me? And maybe Hryllantra as well? :)

If you want to meet earlier than 4pm we could meet at 3pm and even 2 if you want to.

But where should we meet? That is the question!

Han? Any suggestions?

And Tbert I will probably be on the sauce Saturday night and be zombified on Sunday

I'm sure you can make anywhere, but can you recomend somewhere? If noone makes a suggestion soon, I'll have to step in, with my knowledge of four London pubs...

Okay, the area round Victoria isn't very pleasant but Covent garden is not too far away. I suggest this place.

Victoria is just where my train arrives and my bus leaves from. Anywhere in central London is fine really.

That place looks fine. (I assume they serve things other than beer.) Unless Han, or another Londoner, has any other suggestions, I say go for it!

That place looks great. And they even brew their own beer! 8) I always like those places.

That place sounds fine to me. Better than the one I was about to suggest. Great!

We haven't fixed on TIMES? It could be anything from meeting at 11.30 to meeting at 4pm...

I suggest we set it as: Meet there at noon. Some will arrive later. Some will drift away by 4pm to catch a train or so, but nominally it goes till 6pm?

We won't recognise each other ...? OK, everybody wear or carry SOMETHING that suggests a WOK connection, use your imagination.

I expect we eat there or somewhere near. So, anybody arriving at 1.30 might just miss the rest of us, eg if eating is upstairs or at a nearby place. So we need a contact-default. OK, let's use my mobile: mail me for it.

See you there around noon.

It occurs to me that this thread is a bit hidden away? I didn't notice it myself till very late, as I don't usually scan down to chit-chat. It's just possible that some of our mates have never even noticed this?! Prob too late, but why not: Put it quickly into General or even Homepage, so that anybody who didn't clock it still has a chance to get on a flight ... ?

I'll take a camera.

No, that's not my WoK connection, that's so I can take photos of everyone wearing cooking utensils...

Hmm, how about we all dress up as Al Gassner? :D

Probably a good point. So I've removed it. I'll mail you it. Any more attendees wd have to mail me to ask.

BTW, I'm sure you're right, but what DOES tend to happen if you put your tel no. on the net, what is it you've saved me from?
