Have you ever broken a bone?

Fractured my left arm when I was about 8 or 9. I jumped out of a tree. (about 30 feet) I was racing my best friend Bobby to the ground. I won. I HATE to lose! :yellowjumper:

Only once. Age 9. Left forearm. Thrown through the air by a 13 year old former pupil who came back to our school at the end of his first year at High School (as was local tradition at the time) with all the others and the youngest two years had to try beat them up!

Friendly times ... ahh. That WAS painful.

I have tried on several occasions to break bones since without success, despite destroying 3, that's THREE motorbikes along the way. Hehe, and I wonder why I am disabled now ... I guess I had it coming one way or another.

Two broken bones, and one other serious mishap. I had a clean break on my right arm when I was 5, fell from a climbing thing only 2 feet off the ground onto a tile floor. My dad didn't know it was broken until my mom came home the next day.

Next time, I was maybe 12, pushing bikes into curbs to watch the satisfying bounce-crash, until something didn't cooperate and I smashed shoulder-first into the concrete. Broken collarbone. Didn't know it was broken until two days later.

And the real kicker is when I was 3 or 4 months old, my dad strapped me into one of those portable car-seat-type things then decided to trip and drop me down a flight of stairs. FUN! No permanent harm done though... right? Right!? Yeah, that's what I thought.

Nope never, but that's probably because i'm afraid of heights, hate falling and can't go on to anything that spins as i even get nauseous on a merry-go-round. So i never did anything that could break my bones.

I did have a huge hole in my head though when i was 5 when one of my little friends threw a concrete brick from the second floor of an appartment building right on top of my head.

I have never broken a bone, but I have done everything else...
As a kid I got a hole in my head twice, and a friend hooked me on a fishing lure (?) once, I sat down on a sharp knife and punctured my thigh, and I fell down five meters and managed to get all my tooth from my lower jaw stuck in my upper jaw. And more!

Broke my shoulder blade when I was 16, that really did hurt and I broke my hand playing football about 6 months ago. The docotr re-set it with no anaesthetic, closest I have ever come to passing out!!!

The mental image these threads are building up of each of you is killing me everytime I think of you.

It is interesting to see from this though just how many WOK players have had previous head injuries ... wonder if there is a link here

I did that to my brother once. With my entire family watching.

Nothing broken and as far as I can remember no major head injuries.

A past (and poor) hockey careere has resulted in:

* Quite a few minor concussions
* About 25-30 stiches and 12 of them in my face
* A messed up elbow in which I dont know what the problem is
* My left chest muscle is poorly "attached" due to it being partially ripped at one time (in Canada actually)
* Those joint-thingys on your inside and outside of your feet are constatly sour since I have taken slapshots on them and there are loose *insert English word for "brosk" here* in there somehow

In the army I fell on a grenadelauncher once.....it wasnt loaded but still. Oh and during a drill with live ammo me and a sergeant went to check the targets and some Captain started the targetpractice. We managed to dive into a creek right before the shots went off. I dont think I have ever been that afraid before or since.

That would be cartilage. Loose cartilage?

ive fractured my left big toe three or four times in 2 -3 years and it has a bruised nail on it thats took nearly a whole year for half of it being blue. When i was about 1-2 years old i went and dipped my left thumb in a freashly boiled cup of coffee.

No bones actually broken.

Oh, I can't believe I forgot this one. When I was seven I decided to hold a bad-tempered coonhound back from my cat's bowl of food. She didn't like it, and tried to remove my left eye from it's socket. She missed the eye by 1/8 of an inch.

Yeah my wife had a similar eye accident. Her mother was cleaning out the attic and she was standing on the stairs when he mom tossed down a pair of ice skates and one of the ice skates hit her dead center in her left eye with the sharp point...luckily she was wearing glasses, but the point almost went completely through the glass as well.

Oh and last year i slammed the car door shut with her hand stuck between it. :)

Worst I've had was a dislocated knee.

Didn't hurt much when I did it, but when one of my friends pushed it back to its correct location I said quite a few words that the censor won't let me put in this post.

I had a rib cracked when I was sparring in karate class, but that's about it. I like to keep my skeletal system fairly whole, I'm funny that way.
