What is your all time favorite movie?
This one is actually kind of tough for me. There are so many that I REALLY like, that I do not know if I can pick just one, so, here are a few of my favorites:
Gardens of Stone
A Few Good Men (you can't handle the truth!)
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Shawshank Redemption
Second Hand Lions
Robin Hood, Prince of Theives (I know, I know, a Robin Hood without an English accent!!)
The Hunt for Red October

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you.

I am afraid I too have multiple resoponses for this one and some are = sigh - predictable:
Conan the barbarian/destroyer etc.
End of Days
Star Wars 4 - 6 (stuff the new stuff)
Ring Trilogy
Postman
Gladiator
and finally King Arthur
Could go on but these are my top selection and I own them all.

Now WHY did it do THAT!

For me the best film is a film you can watch over and over again never getting bored of it. So for me that has to be the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Two Towers being the best). I think i've seen the movies 11 times in the cinema and uncountable times at home.
Plus my house is a bit like a Lord of the Rings museum. The hallway is lined with several posters, there are 19 LotR statues standing throughout the house. I've got a lifesize Smeagol standee in the dining room and the 'piece the resistance' is a 8 foot by 12 foot big Return of the King canvas...yes the original one that was used at the premiere in Wellington.
Hey at least i'm not collecting the LotR CCG or table top game...hmm the table top game...now that would be cool.
Other movies i really like are Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Army of Darkness and of course SPACEBALLS!

I'm a big fan of Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse, so Clerks, Clerks II, Mallrats, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, Dogma. If you want a serious movie... Full Metal Jacket and Jarhead were pretty good.

If I was to name the geniuses of cinematography it's have to be:
Jean Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro ('Delicatessen', 'City of lost Children')
Terry Gilliam ('Brazil', 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas', 'Twelve Monkeys')
Coen brothers ('Blood Simple', 'The Man Who Wasn't There', 'Fargo', 'Barton Fink', 'Miller's Crossing')
If you've seen these then you know I need to SEE something special (rahter than experience a story) to be breathtaken.
'City of Lost Children' is probably the movie I go back to most often.

AG you reminded me - I haven't got those on my list, which is criminal as I have all three! Mad Max I mean - Monty Python were alright in 30 minute doses not full feature length.
Now WHY did it do THAT!

The Road Warrior - not a bad movie although I think they overdid the bit with the feral kid and his boomerang.

Mad Max - The best part of the entire movie is the opening credits where all you see of Mel Gibson is him getting into the V8 interceptor and chasing down the looney in the other car.
IMHO
