It takes that long since you need to sit and wait for cement to get hard before you put on the next layer. Add to that the fact of a full time job, two kids and a friends birthday and you can see why I have found myself putting on watersealer in the buttcrack of dawn.

Oh, and Donut. I sell and educate cleaning contractors on single disc scrubbers. Anything you need to know

OK, that explains why the floor in that bathroom looks so dirty.

Hey, give a guy a break here. Ever seen a hard hat area before? The cleaning comes AFTER the construction. 8)

What happened to the good old mop and bucket!

We used a mop and bucket to put the water/cleaner on the floor... well... the bucket anyway. By cleaning I meant stripping wax off of the floor, then putting it back on... Hoorahhh...

Temujin:

I just finished it yesterday. It takes that long when you have to drill a thousand holes to put up all those usless fancy thing the mrs wants to make it "cosy". Maybe we could move in together and make our own manly bathroom? .......that sounded different in my head.

Dumbnut:

Wax? We use polish in the western world.

Noticed a typo in my post. It is meant to say "Donut".

And we too use wax on some floors but mainly because the people putting it on the floor isnt educated enough to understand that floorpolish is superior in 99% of the cases.

Duke,

Usually, around here, when someone tp's your house, they manage to get it into all of your trees and bushes.......Somehow, tping the pipes just isn't as dramatic as strands of tp swinging in the morning breeze.....

(Were you not 100% sure of your soldering job, and used it looking for leaks???)

We used polished our stone floors but put wax on the tiled floors. I really don't know why we did anything there... and yes the people were morons. But I was paid to do what they told me, not ask questions.

Right now Tbert is saying those exact words in a court marsal (sp?)

lol @ Calidus and he is the one to win the treats. However, he is a zillion years old so he has to know things like this. He was raised at the time when parents tought their children usful things. Not like today where the children teach their parents how to download plugins to get free cable.

Ok, have you been talking to my wife???

I am not THAT old. There are many many players here that are older than me, thank you very much. (Bjorn, Underdog, umm, err...Egbert...) :shakin::

Actually, I have done just about every type of construction work you can think of, and it just seemed like the logical answer to your potential problem. I am very interested to finally see your finished project. So far, so good. (especially if it makes mrs. duke happy!!) Keep us posted!

It is finished. I am just too lazy to take the pics and post them. I'll do it eventually but I am leaving for a business trip within 20 hours and when I get back I'll go on a holiday so I guess you'll have to wait.

PS. I know you're not the oldest guy here. I just picture you to be
