Puzzles
Since there are so many of you with quite a lot of time on your hands, let's see who can get this one first:
Let's say I am a player in a WOK game. All of my provinces have workers in them, except 2 provinces. All of my provinces have pop in them, except 2 provinces. All of my provinces have armies in them, except 2 provinces.
How many provinces do I have?
EDIT: Ignore this riddle, and read below.

Oops, that's what I get for trying to convert a riddle into WOK terms. Okay, let me give it to you differently:
I am playing a WOK game. All of my provinces are set to +LEVEL except for 2 provinces. All of my provinces are set to +MISSILES except for 2 provinces. All of my provinces are set to +TECH except for 2 provinces.
How many provinces do I have?

Correct Val!Validon wrote:3 provinces!
Okay, let's get tougher................
Two clanmates are in a WOK game together, and they are talking about a strategy which would involve 1 player taking provinces from another. The first clanmate says: "If I let you take 1 of my provinces, you will have twice the number of provinces that I have. But if you let me take 1 from you instead, we will both have the same number of provinces."
How many provinces does each clanmate own?

This might be a stretch...
It's January 1st. Day before yesterday (Dec 30 Year: -1) he was 35. Dec 31 Year -1 he turns 36. It's now January first; by the end of this year he will be 37 and sometime (Dec. 31th Year: +1) he will be 38 [He says Next year, not in a year].

The guy is REALLY bad at math?
Either that or the stuff that Donut wrote.
PS: My wife has a similar habit but for some reason she keeps getting younger when people ask about her age. Aaah I remember the time when we were both 20 years old. I cant belive how I manage to get ahead with several years?

Either Donut's or Duke's answer is acceptable.
(Donut's answer was the one I was thinking of, however.)
Alright, no more Mr. Nice Guy.............
Last week, Saladin was able to turn his bedroom light off and get into bed before the room was dark. The light switch and the bed are ten feet apart. How did he accomplish this?

OR if you are just trying to be tricky - There were 7 days last week so one day he could have turned off the light no big deal and a different day he could have gaotten into be without turning the light off.
OR Saladin has a night light because he is afraid of the dark.
OR Saladin has a window in his bedroom and it was still daytime outside when he went to bed.
OR Saladin got into bed first then decided he wanted to turn the light off.
OR Saladin has a ten foot pole by his bedside to reach over and shut his light off with.
OR there is a better answer that will astound us!!!!!

Well, one of your answers was correct. It was still daylight when he turned the light off and got into bed, so the room wasn't dark yet.Validon wrote:OR if you are just trying to be tricky - There were 7 days last week so one day he could have turned off the light no big deal and a different day he could have gaotten into be without turning the light off.

We have 3 boxes. One contains two black marbles, a second contains two white marbles, and a third contains one black and one white marble. You cannot see into the boxes. The boxes have signs on them: BB, WW, BW, referring to the colors of the marbles, but none of the signs are on the correct box. What would be the least number of marbles that must be randomly picked, from one or several boxes, to identify all of their contents?

I would say 1 marble from each would eliminate one box then one more marble from either box left would finish it off. So 4 marbles. But if you are lucky then you could know what is in the third box after picking out 1 marble from 2 boxes then you would just have to pick one more and your total would be three. So 3 marbles if luck is involved and 4 marbles if there is no luck involved.
