The answer to Egberts riddle is NOTHING. Glad I can play with you guys :P

Here is a riddle from me: a guy was thinking to marry one of his 3 girlfriends so he gave $100k to each.
The first one invested the money wisely and doubled it within a short time. She said: "You see, if you marry me you will always be rich and have all the money to fulfill your wildest dreams."
The second one learned to cook and took various courses like massage techniques. She said "You see, if you marry me I will always make your life enjoyable at the most, every single day."
The third one took care of herself, using the money to buy fancy clothes and had various surgery operations done. She said "You see, if you marry me you will have the sexiest woman by your side all the time and all your friends will envy you."

So - which one did he marry in the end ? What do you think ? :P

That's easy, the one who can make him the most money, so he can then spend the money on the other two to 'take care' of him. :D

Shopping Stop


Alexei, Katie, Roscoe, and Wenda went shopping at the local discount chain store for some summer clothing. They each bought several items and had to pay 5% tax on everything.

Sale Prices

Roscoe bought 2 pairs of shorts, a tank top, and a sports cap. He exchanged a shirt he'd bought previously and got a credit for $9.44 including tax. He had $4.11 left when he was finished.
Alexei bought one more pair of shorts than Roscoe, along with one T-shirt and a tank top. He ran short of cash and had to borrow an even $3.00 from Wenda, leaving him with 47 cents.
Wenda bought twice as many T-shirts as Alexei. She was the only one to buy sneakers. The new cap she purchased was identical to the one Katie acquired. She had $8 left when she got home.
Katie bought 3 items and spent $13.48 less than Roscoe did on his new purchases. She had $8.15 left at the end of her shopping trip.

How much money (to the nearest whole dollar) did each person have when they began the day's shopping excursion?

Alright you have 10 stacks of the same coins.
Each stack has ten coins in it.
You know one stack has fake coins in it.

Using only a scale, what is the fewest amount of times you need to weigh the coins to find the fake stack?

:) Only 1 weighing. You use 1 coin from the first stack, 2 coins from the second stack, 3 from the 3rd, etc. The total weight will tell you which stack it is. For example, if they were all real, the stack would weigh 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10=55 units. If stack 3 were fake, you would get a reading of 55.3.

I agree with Egbert IF all the coins in the odd stack are fake. I wasn't sure if that was the case when I read it.
