Nope. I couldn't get near it for the first 2 days the kids got it. After that it was too late. They'd laugh at my stumblings at it, and I'd never catch up anyway. Nicky/Bloodaxe is far better at it than I'd ever be, and James/Kryptus (older) is superb at it, regularly getting 200-note streaks at expert level - awesome. Emma is good at it, and Buzz [age 8] already makes me not want to compete with him ...trewqh wrote:I wonder if Han is any good at it.
It's a very cool thing.

Funny that you should mention that ...Hryllantre wrote:Off topic
Now I see why trewqh is doing the Vulking diplomacy for Kryptus...
I think a bit of clarity might help ...
The first I ever heard of this "kryptus" (cryptic?) was when my Vulking clanhead trewqh told us Vulkings that newbie Kryptus had applied to join, did we have any views? Ironically, I said "We don't know him yet, so preferably only if he shows he'll stick with a game". So trewqh told this "Kryptus" that he couldn't join Vulkings yet, but he'd mentor him (great!)
Several days later, I deduce/uncover that this "Kryptus" is my own son (14) James! Hey, you have to applaud him: he was trying for doing it secretly, earning his own success, and then eventually, in a Spartacus-type moment, revealing to his Dad: "I am the famous Kryptus!". Sweet!
I immediately told Chris, GM Lardy, and trewqh. We decided to stick with James' independence - I'm leaving him to make his own way with trewqh or anyone, up to them.
BTW, Bloodaxe is one of my other sons, 12 year-old Nicky. He says he's posted for an opponent at a Duel (I approve because Duels have no deadlines and so don't conflict with homework ...), but nobody has taken him up? Well, to keep my son Nicky happy, I'd be glad if someone volunteered ... preferably not an expert, so that it's more even. I warn you: Nicky is smart ...!
Oh, don't worry, Emma (16) and Buzz [8] don't seem to be playing ... as far as I can tell.

It's a bit annoying - most of the players are either probably available to play, but far better than me, so I'd just get beaten too quickly to learn much, or recently joined, and have similiar experience, but are already in a different game and not ready for a duel.
Just gonna have to wait longer, I guess...
