Is that an actual language or is it a dialect of some sort? I've heard about it from time to time but I dont know if I have ever heard anyone speak it.
Yes, Ich habe is the way to go. I knew that actually. Dont know why it came out like that. (commonly used phrase back in school)
German is useless to me anyhow. I would really like to learn Spanish. My company would even pay for it but then I would have to present some sort of result and I am afraid that I wont give it enough effort if I signed up for a course in it. I've tried one of them tapes in the car but LOL! I cant see how you could learn anything from a studytechnique like that.
I know a few words. Spazziola laterale (side-broom. I sell those remember?) Agua vidria (I think it is the waste water). McPollo (McChicken) con gas (carborated) sin gas (still water) Una grande servesa por favor (Dunno. I say it in bars and it gives me beer so I could make a pretty good guess) La quenta (the check in restaurants).
lol@
I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it

Haven't laughed this hard at something posted on the boards in a long time.
Sorry to disappoint you, but I don't think any germans ever really talked like that (but then again I was born in 1984 so maybe the warmovies are an accurate representation of the past).

Wait? 1984? Been playing hockey for about 5 years by then.
Don't mention the war. I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it. So it's all forgotten now and let's hear no more about it. So that's two egg mayonnaise, a prawn Goebbels, a Herman Goering and four Colditz salads....no, wait a minute...I got confused because everyone keeps mentioning the war.

Maybe you know maybe you don't
Belgium is divided in 2 pieces(to make it simple, the truth is that Belgium is divided in 4 pieces)
Flanders is the Dutch part and Wallonia is the French part.
So in Flanders we speak Flemish
Compare it with Brittish and American English perhaps

Oh, then I might have heard it without knowing it. I thought it was completely different like Swedish to Finnish.

Belgians speak Dutch or French...both in their own strange dialect.
