GMT WOK ratings

Post by Bjorn » Tue Apr 27, 2004 1:28 am

I found that I only had Hannibal with 2VPs, so I tracked down the fact that Andy 04 had been added as a completed game. I added those results to my spreadsheet. The results still have Egbert as the top gun. Actually, I don't believe I have added the 2003 Champs to the totals yet, so I may have to do another update.

www.angelfire.com/ny4/gmtom/GMT_ratings.htm

For those unfamiliar with this system, Each entry in a WOK4/WOK5 game contributes 20/30 rating points to a prize pool. 200 for WOK4 and 300 for WOK5. The winners get 100 points per VP they receive at the end of the game. It does not work out to a zero sum system as some games start with fewer than 10 players, while some WOK4 games only award 1VP at the end, but it is close.

The rating system was started in October 2002 by Aussie Gaz who started each player with 1000 points plus 50 points for each VP they had in Kaohalla on that date. I started my rating based on his numbers when he officially gave up doing it.

I know I never went nine games without a VP. :?

I started this just before the 2003 Hi Score started. In that time you have not won any VPs and you are listed as a player in nine games. Do you want me to list them? 8)

OK, it's time for me to get back to my invite idea. I will be running my group #03 soon it will be on the Scandinavian map and will be an invite only game. However, if I had e-mailed you before sorry but I'm redoing my invites so you are not in it until I e-mail you again(if I do).
I won't start this one until my group 02 is complete but I have a feeling that is not too far off.

I have been hearing
"Watch out for TFF"
for about 2 years and they still haven't gotten there. Lets hope they can at least get above VO this time around.
we would never hear the end of it if they didn't.

Wow! What incredible luck Raw. Is there some sort of record of Unbelieveable Wins? This one surely belongs there. 40 against 6. The Wokulator gave me a 97.36% chance of winning with 20 troops left.

I am pretty sure AF will walk over me this turn, so it's been fun.
